In Bitter Chill

My debut novel In Bitter Chill is published by Faber and Faber. It’s the story of the kidnapping of two young girls in the late 1970s and the legacy it leaves for one of the children who is later found alive.

In Bitter Chill is also published in the US by Thomas Dunne Books.

Details of events that I’ll be attending can be found here and some of the comments from reviewers in newspapers and on websites and blogs can be found here.

I’ve had some lovely comments on my Facebook page and on Twitter. Links to both of these social media accounts can be found on the right. If you’d like to leave a comment about my book here, please feel free to do so below. Thank you!

  1. Sarah, I have not received a copy of In Bitter Chill from the US publisher. If I don’t get one by the time it comes out here, I will go ahead and buy a copy. Not a problem at all.

  2. I loved this book. I thought the characters were so well drawn, and believable, the story was fascinating, the suspense was continued right to the end, which frankly is very rare in a lot of crime books. I’m really looking forward to your next book, Sarah.

    • Thanks, Jax for getting in touch with me and letting me know. I’m so pleased that you enjoyed the book. I’ve just finished the second in the series which should, hopefully, be published next year. Best wishes, Sarah

  3. I read your book and I loved it. I read a lot and I’ve become quite jaded. No chance of boredom here. A great story and I cared about the people in it. That’s what makes a good book to me. Thanks and I am looking forward to more.

Having a look at your website I see you like poetry. I don’t write it, I’m afraid, but I do love reading it. Good luck with your own writing! Sarah
