April 2016

Deal Noir is taking place on Saturday 2nd April. More details of my panel to follow.

21st April – I’ll be appearing with fellow Faber author Alex Hourston at Burgess Hill library at 7pm.

22nd April – I’ll be interviewing bestselling authors Fiona Barton (The Widow) and Renee Knight (Disclaimer) at Rems Wine Bar in Chapel-en-le-Frith. The event is being organised by the excellent Reading Matters bookshop.

March 2016

11th March – Crime writer Anne Zouroudi and I will be appearing at Bakewell Bookshop at 7pm. More details to follow.

16th March – I’ll be attending Arnold Library’s reading cafe in Nottinghamshire from 10.30 – 12 midday.

16th March – Following the refurbishment of Sandbach library, I’ll be taking part in a writers’ forum from 7 – 9pm.

19th March – I’ll be leading a crime writing workshop organised by Writers in the Peak. More details here.

December 2015

6th December – Reykjavik is the UNESCO City of Literature. I’ll be appearing with Icelandic author Ragnar Jonasson to discuss our books. More details are here.

9th December – I’ll be signing books at Waterstones in Bolton between 12 and 2pm.

12th December – I’ll be signing books at Waterstones in Derby between 1pm and 3pm.

15th December – I’ll be moderating a panel with Alex Backmore and Amanda Jennings at Osidge Library, London.


November 2015

Killer Girls Night takes place at Winchester Discovery Centre on the 4th November. I’ll be talking crime fiction with Sharon Bolton and Nicola Upson.

10th November – I’ll be appearing at Simply Books in my hometown of Bramhall.

I’m appearing at Shetland Noir which takes place between 13 and 14th November. Further details can be found here.

15th November – I’ll be attending the Literary Lunch organised by the Buxton Literary Festival.

17th November – I’ll be Mere Green library at Sutton Colfield talking about IN BITTER CHILL at 11am.

18th November – I’ll be at Waterstones in Stafford from 6pm talking about IN BITTER CHILL.

19th November – I’ll be appearing at Waterstones in St Albans with Nicola Upton and Kate Griffin.


October 2015

8 – 11th October – I’ll be attending Bouchercon which this year is being held in Raleigh, North Carolina.

14th October – I’ll be speaking about In Bitter Chill at Chapel library, Derbyshire at 7.30pm.

17th October – I’ll be  at Scribefest in Middlewich. More details can be found here.

22nd October – I’ll be appearing at Ripley Library in Derbyshire at 7pm.

29th October – I’ll be appearing at the Kilburn Festival in the Sheriff Centre. More details to follow.


September 2015

1st September – I was talking about IN BITTER CHILL at Poynton Library at 7.30pm.

16th September – Come along to Allstree Library in Derby at 7.00pm to hear me talk about IN BITTER CHILL.

21st September – I’ll be at Dagenham Library with other Faber authors. Further details to follow.

23rd September – Pengwern Books is organising an event with two other authors. More details coming shortly.

28th September – I’ll be appearing with US author Peter Swanson at Chorleywood Library, Hertfordshire.

11th July –  I was at Bakewell Bookshop signing copies of In Bitter Chill

BritCrime-header-for-OptimizePress812th  July – BritCrime is an online crime fiction festival took place. I was on a great panel with Julia Crouch, Amanda Jennings and Tammy Cohen.

14th July – The Chelmorton Festival included a crime panel featuring authors Steven Dunne, Keith Nixon, Zoe Sharp and Chris Simms.

15th July – I was talking about IN BITTER CHILL at Sandbach Library at 7pm.

28th July – I was talking about my book in Nottingham Central Library at 2pm. Further details to follow.

June 2015

London’s Troxy venue. I spoke about the origins of Nordic Noir in literature with Barry Forshaw, Quentin Bates and Jakob Stougaard-Neilsen.

25th June – I visited Bedfordshire and gave talks at Potton Library and at Stotfold Library.

29th June – I joined Faber authors, Kate Hamer and Alex Hourston, at the bookshop Storytellers Inc in Lytham St Anne.

May 2015 

IMG_0536Newcastle Noir took place on the 2nd – 3rd May 2015. I moderated a panel featuring debut authors Eva Dolan, Susan Wilkins, SJI Holliday and Kati Hiekkapelto.

November 2014

Iceland NoirA must attend event for all fans of Scandinavian crime fiction. I appeared in the debut authors’ panel on Saturday 22nd November.
